The Hospital This is a well-established regional public hospital servicing a broad catchment across the South-East NSW region. Approximately 130–140 inpatient beds Full Emergency Department, ICU/HD, General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics and Mental Health services Modern facilities with strong on-site diagnostic and theatre support Part of a progressive Local Health District with close links to larger tertiary centres The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Service The O&G department plays a critical role in regional women’s health , delivering comprehensive services across: Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care General and operative gynaecology Emergency obstetric and gynaecological presentations Inpatient, outpatient and on-call services You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team including midwives, nursing staff, anaesthetics, paediatrics and junior medical staff, with opportunities to: Contribute to service development and expansion Support and mentor junior doctors and trainees Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and education Help foster a strong culture of learning and best practice in a regional setting This role suits a confident specialist comfortable working with a high level of clinical independence , supported by strong systems and referral pathways.
